The DiMarzio DP 212CR Eric Johnson Custom Bridge guitar pickup is a humbucker bridge pickup, which is quite present in the high frequencies. This creates a bright, sparkling sound that is not necessarily typical of a humbucker, indeed, it looks more like a single-coil pickup here and there. And that is exactly what Eric Johnson, who is particularly known for his work with single-coil pickup guitars, was looking for when designing this element.
