Product information

General

The DiMarzio DP 700CR Blaze Neck guitar pickup was initially designed for the neck position on the original Ibanez Universe 7-string guitar. The pickup delivers a warm sound in the neck position, which is not too full - this is to prevent the lowest string on a 7-string from sounding too round. DiMarzio has therefore slightly scooped the mids in this pickup and lowered the overall volume a bit to avoid overpowering it. This model is also well suited as a bridge pickup, especially when playing with distortion. Power-chords sound very open and loosely played notes retain their definition.
