With the DiMarzio DP 711BK Ionizer 7 Bridge guitar element, you get Tosin Abasi's (Animals as Leaders) signature pickups. But, Tosin plays mainly on 8-string guitars, right? That's right! But this pickup has been specifically redesigned for the 7-string guitar! Because the typical neck length of a 7-string is shorter than the 8-string neck, DiMarzio has designed the Ionizer 7 models to have both more emphasis on the highs and very smooth highs. The low end is also a bit thinner, for clean reproduction of the 7th string.
