General
With the DiMarzio DP151 PAF Pro humbucker, you get a pickup that is a lot more 'open' in sound than the original PAF. The big advantage of the PAF Pro is that the clarity of this pickup can pierce through big guitar sounds and effects without becoming muddy or undefined. The low end is very stable and in the midrange there is a clear peak, which creates a kind of twang-like sound. This PAF Pro pickup works very well in the neck position in combination with a hotter bridge pickup, such as a DiMarzio Norton or X2N. You can also use it as a bridge pickup, where it works surprisingly well in combination with single-coils, because the output is not so high that they become overpowered.
