Product information

General

The DiMarzio DP193 Air Norton guitar pickup is originally a bridge pickup, but can also be used very well as a neck pickup. The pickup has a warm and deep sound and has a hot output, but does so without distortion. The uniqueness of this 'Airbucker' pickup is the structure around the Alnico 5 magnet, which literally pulls the strings less towards it. The result is a long, untouched sustain, great dynamic range and very controllable pick-attack. If you use this pickup as a neck element, you get quite a lot of overtones, which is quite unique in that position. With this pickup, use 500K pots for maximum tonal range, or experiment with 250K on the tone, which allows you to make the high a bit thicker. This pickup works well with DiMarzio Air Classic in neck position, also with The Cruiser, The Chopper and Blue Velvet single-coils.
