General

The DiMarzio DP215F EVO 2 Bridge is the F-spaced variant of the EVO 2 bridge - so you can only install it on guitars with a Floyd Rose or similar tremolo bridge. The EVO was designed in collaboration with Steve Vai, and so is this EVO 2. Compared to the original EVO, this EVO 2 has a small reduction on the 4000 to 5000 Hz range, resulting in a better balanced sound. In addition, the EVO 2 also features a slightly less powerful ceramic magnet and lower output, which is a lot more practical, especially in live situations. Despite this, this pickup still works pretty much the same when it comes down to playing with high-gain or vintage amps. By the way, the Virtual Vintage technology also allows you to emulate a fine single-coil sound when switching to split mode.
