General
You can't talk about John Petrucci without talking about DiMarzio. Designed with the Dream Theater guitarist himself, the DiMarzio DP227 LiquiFire dual-coil pickup has been honed and perfected for the neck position, where it delivers a healthy dose of warmth, boasts a silky-smooth treble response and reinforces all of it with tight and defined basses. The total sound of this humbucker is surgically focussed, making it ideal for highly overdriven solo work as well as complex and clean chord work.
