Of course, if you are going to design a guitar pickup for Steve Vai, you have to come up with something special. DiMarzio has certainly succeeded in doing just that with this DP253 Gravity Storm Bridge pickup. Expect a humbucker bridge pickup with a lot of depth, and a lot of focus on warm highs and mid frequencies. This pickup is very plug ' n play: on most guitars, without too much tweaking, you will be able to get not just a 'usable' tone, but just a good workable tone right away. Because this pickup is so fat in the high frequencies, you can turn up quite a bit of treble on your amp, without losing definition in the high notes and sustain on the high frets.
