General
Designed with the help of Steve Vai, the DiMarzio DP287F Utopia Neck pickup was initially exclusive to his Ibanez PIA Signature electric guitar. This dual-coil pup is the ideal team-mate for models with a naturally prominent high mid-range, since the Utopia artfully suppresses the high-mids while giving the lower frequencies an elegant boost, spreading plenty of body out across the entire frequency range. This deluxe pickup even features the same laser-engraved cover as the humbuckers mounted on the PIA.
