Set up for eight-string electric guitars, the DiMarzio DP 819BK D Activator 8 Neck Humbucker boasts open, defined and super-responsive sound. The tight sonic character is even fully retained when drenched in a mass of gain and, when coupled with a clean amplifier, everything remains articulate and bright. To balance the naturally high-output of the low F# of eight-string models, DiMarzio has given this pickup a medium-output.
