Devin Townsend is a true tonal artists. In collaboration with Fishman, he has now developed his own signature Fluence pickups, the PRF-CSB-DT2, which capture two complete opposite ends of the sonic spectrum! They do so by giving you access to two different voicings. Voicing 1 features lots of output, making it ideal for heavier music. Voicing 2, meanwhile, leans more towards a passive single-coil sound, more suitable for low gain and clean parts. In short, the Fishman Fluence Devin Townsend pickups are incredibly versatile.
Fishman Fluence: revolutionary pickups
Fishman has revolutionised the design of guitar picks with their Fluence series. By applying, or printing coils, like traces on a circuit board, the company cleverly sidesteps the classic downsides of conventional pickups. They're entirely quiet and offer a beautifully bright and clear sound. What's more, this technology makes it possible to capture multiple different sounds in one pickup. A Fishman Fluence pickup is powered by a 9V battery, or the separately available FBP100 lithium-ion battery.

maar dat gezegd hebbende: WAT EEN FACTASHTICHE PICKUPS!!!!
ik heb ze aug. 2017 gemonteerd in een Mayones Setius 6 bariton en deze set maakt de gitaar helemaal af. ik kan me werkelijkwaar geen genre bedenken waar deze set niet me overweg kan
Modern (Active) humbucker voice:
in deze stand zijn de PU's super high output en doen ze denken aan EMG's 81\85 maar dan veel dynamischer elk aangeslagen snaar is duidelijk individueel hoorbaar ( wat kleine foutjes wel naar de voorgrond haalt) zelf op het clean kanaal van je versterker is het al lastig om daadwerkelijk clean te spelen
deze stand is dus echt voor het zwaare werk
Vintage humbucker voice:
enorm warme klanken en nog steeds super dynamisch zijn in deze stand de scherpe randjes van het signaal weg, bespeel je je gitaar erg hard dan is er nog steeds wel wat breakup van de clean kanalen mogelijk maar al met al is deze set erg goed te vergelijken met vintage humbuckers zoals gebruikt door Gibson (devin heeft zijn best gedaan ze hier naar toe te moduleren)
in deze stand komen er fantastische blues, rock, 80's metal geluiden uit de gitaar
Vintage Singlecoil voice:
aangezien ik het schema van devin townsend gebruikt heb kan ik niet naar de modern single coil voice toe maar om heel eerlijk te zijn denk ik niet dat iemand dit echt nodig heeft, zeker niet waneer ze deze voice gehoord hebben. in deze stand heer je direct dat de inspiratie bij de fender telecaster vandaan komt, in de brigde vind ik hem wel erg schel maar tone wat terug draaien lost dit helemaal op
in deze stand kun je letterlijk alles wat ooit op een single coil opgenomen is redelijk evenaren, floyd, clapton, blackmore etc,
tevens zit op een batterij bakje en pickup switch na alles wat je nodig heb om de set in te bouwen in het pakket wat het voor de klant heerlijk makkelijk maakt en alles is van hele degelijke kwalitijd
jammer genoeg zijn de pickups wel een stuk duurder geworden maar evengoed bestel ik nog een set voor in een andere gitaar. zo goed vind ik ze!
natuurlijk was de service van bax zoals je gewent ben GOED!!
