The Fishman Tone DEQ is the perfect thing for musicians who prefer to play acoustically. It's a professional pedal that features a high-grade Class-A preamp and a high-impedance input, which is simply a must for any passive pickup. Furthermore, it offers a double effects section, tone control, compressor, level booster and a balanced DI. The Tone DEQ has a fully-analogue signal path, resulting in rich tonal characteristics that suit acoustic instruments particularly well. The digital effects are mixed in parallel for little to no signal-loss.

Tone DEQ: Features

Tone control for the Tone DEQ is done by means of an equalizer (low/mid/high) and a switchable low cut (40/80/160 Hz). The latter eliminates the low bass frequencies some passive pickups produce. The phase shift is reversible to minimise feedback sensitivity. The Tone DEQ features two effects sections. One has two reverbs and two delays, and the other has two types of chorus, a flanger, and a tremolo. When it comes to outputs, you'll find a jack output for an amplifier and a balanced DI output (XLR) with a pre/post switch which is ideal for studio recordings.

Compressor

On stage, it's important to keep control of the dynamics of your instrument at all times so your sound technician won't have to compensate the whole time for an optimal mix. The Fishman Tone DEQ has a soft-knee compressor which has an LED indicator that tells you when it's time to monitor the dynamic character of your sound. This professional pedal is powered by a 9- volt battery or a Fishman 910-R adapter (both of which are sold separately). It's a great way for acoustic musicians to maintain complete control of their dynamic sound, particularly during live performances.
