General
The Fishman Rare Earth Blend is a unique combination of an active humbucker and a hypercardioid mini-condenser microphone fitted to a flexible gooseneck so it can be positioned and pointed at or near the soundhole to dictate the amount of registered low-end. The built-in batteries have a highly respectable 150 hours of use.
Hybrid Potential
Via a simple Blend control on the pickup, you can set a unique mix between the microphone and humbucker and subtly switch up sound profiles during sets. The neodymium magnet in the pickup ensures balanced tone without any unwanted noise and hum and is the element that provides this highly unusual unit its immense potential. The Fishman Rare Earth Blend offers refined and flexible amplification without modifying your acoustic guitar.

Ik had in mijn Furch Vintage 3 OM SR een under saddle pick-up laten plaatsen van JourneyTek, vergelijkbaar met de K&K Pure Mini. Helaas valt het geluid versterkt erg tegen en besloot ik de Fishman Rare Earth Blend aan te schaffen. Heel eenvoudig in het klankgat te plaatsen, de mic is door de flexibele zwanenhals goed in de body te positioneren. Maar wat een geweldig geluid geeft dit versterkt!! De 50/50 blend tussen mic en de humbucker is mijn ideale mix. Dan laat ik 'm ook nog via mijn Fishman Platinum Pro EQ lopen, waarmee ik de boel helemaal kan finetunen.
Kortom ik ben reuze blij met deze aanschaf en zoals gewoonlijk keurig en tijdig door Bax geleverd bij de Rotterdam vestiging. Aanrader!

Ik heb onlangs de Fishman rare earth pickup van Julie ontvangen. Zoals altijd weer heel snel binnen. Ik ben er erg blij mee. Waar het mij betreft de beste pickup om in je akoestische gitaar te installeren. Een warme en natuurlijke klank met de natuurlijke sound van je gitaar. Kwa prijs ook heel goed en naar mijn mening beter dan de high-end LR Baggs systemen.

Ik gebruik het element inmiddels een jaar of twee. Uitstekend geluid. Enige nadeel is dat de zwanehals van het microfoontje langzaam steeds naar een bepaalde stand terugbuigt waardoor de klankleur dus ook verandert. Dat is blijkbaar niet helemaal goed getest bij Fishman. Vandaar vier sterren, anders had ik vijf sterren gegeven.

I use this pickup in my Gibson gospel 1992 edition, it has a very natural sound when blended 60/40 on the mic side, I've have also the Lr Baggs M1 and that doesn't even come close to the sound of the Fishman pickup (mic not on). All in all a great pickup that is easy to install with no cutting holes (only the endpin) and is friendly on the batteries.

Het is het beste element wat ik tot nu toe ben tegengekomen.
Je kunt het sound perfekt afstellen middels de "blend control" regeling tussen de mic. en de pick up.
