General
The Seymour Duncan APS-1 Alnico II Pro is a vintage Strat-style pickup set that delivers the characteristic chime and bell tones of the 1950s Strat sound, with a sweeter treble response. The set comprises two APS-1 pickups (bridge and neck) and one APS-1 RWRP pickup (middle) with white covers.
Warm, natural tone
The hand-wound Alnico II magnets and moderate windings with Heavy Formvar wire produce a warm, sweet tone with natural string vibration and plenty of sustain. The middle position is reverse-wound and reverse-polarised (RWRP) to suppress hum when two pickups are selected simultaneously. Ideal for country, pop, surf, rockabilly, blues, ska and classic rock.
