General
With this SH-15 Alternative 8 humbucker, the legendary Seymour Duncan gives you a just a little bit fresher and incredibly big guitar sound without that awkward shrillness and/or dullness. Actually, the Alnico 8 magnet of this pickup offers you those sweet trebles of an Alnico 2, with the prominent midrange of an Alnico 5 and also the contemporary power of a ceramic dual-coil element. With this high-output humbucker, you'll come out hugely powerful with still plenty of dynamics and also a lot less ambient noise. This makes the Seymour Duncan Alternative 8 a perfect match for heavier rock and metal styles anyway. The SH-15's 4-wire cable also allows switching options for coil-split and parallel tones.
