General
With the Seymour Duncan SH-6b Duncan Distortion 7-string humbucker, you already have a pretty fair idea of what you're in for. This is no warm, jazz-flavoured pickup: this double-coil pickup is built exclusively for harder, more raw work. Boasting an uber-high-output, the SH-6b is capable of backing up everything from old-school metal to contemporary grindcore, and thanks to the four-way wiring, it can even be coupled with a coil-split switch to unleash sparkling, single-coil-style tone.
The SH-6b Distortion 7-String: Menacingly Tight Basses & Brutally Fierce Trebles
Together with the specially overwound coils, the large ceramic magnet guarantees masses of output — all without sacrificing sonic clarity. The core sound is framed by menacingly tight lows and ferociously bright highs, making the SH-6b Distortion 7-String Bridge pickup perfect for lower tunings, not to mention some brutal 'chugging'.
