Actually, the name of this Seymour Duncan SH-6b Duncan Distortion Bridge humbucker says it all. It is logically not a warm, jazzy pickup, this double-coil element is made to bang! The high output makes the Seymour Duncan SH-6b ideally suited for harder types of music, from old school metal to modern grindcore. The 4-core connection also makes this flexible element suitable for coil-split switching, which also gives you access to sparkling single-coil-style guitar sounds.
SH-6b Distortion Bridge: mean in the low end, nice and bright in the high end
A large ceramic magnet, together with the specially wound overwound coil, ensures the very high output of the Seymour Duncan humbucker. However, this output does not come at the expense of the clarity of the core sound. In fact, the core sound can be characterised as mean tight in the low register and nice and bright in the higher frequencies. This therefore makes the SH-6b perfect for lower tunings. Besides making your harmonics stand out prominently on your flashy leads, this Duncan Distortion has you covered with the most brutal guitar riffs that are sure to always chug. This is the version with Black Powder Coat Cover.
