With the Seymour Duncan SH-6b Distortion bridge humbucker, the name pretty much says it all. This is no warm, jazz-flavoured pickup — no, this double-coil unit is built exclusively for harder, more raw work. Boasting an uber-high-output, the SH-6B is capable of backing up everything from old-school metal to contemporary grindcore, and thanks to the four-conductor wiring, it can even be coupled with a coil-split switch to unleash sparkling, single-coil-style tone.

The SH-6b Distortion Bridge: Tight-and-Mean Lows and Bright-and-Fierce Highs

The big ceramic magnet combines with an overwound coil for a greatly increased output that doesn't come at the cost of sonic clarity. In fact, the core sound is framed by a seriously tight low-range and bright-and-fierce trebles, making it cut out for standard tuning as well as lower tunings. Het is een brugelement, maar ik heb 'm als halselement. Met opzet, want dat doet ik altijd.
Ze hebben in principe wat meer output en ik vind ze iets helderder klinken.
Het beestje (jawel) heb ik op een Gibson Les Paul gezet en klinkt inderdaad heel goed.
