Seymour Duncan Slash 3.0 Humbucker Set, 1-Conductor Cable - Nickel Cover

General

The Seymour Duncan Slash 3.0 Humbucker Set is designed for guitarists who want that distinctive Slash sound, but with a bit more bite. This set (neck + bridge) was developed for a specific occasion: Guns N’ Roses’ performance during “Back to the Beginning”, as a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. The result is the most aggressive Slash set to date, offering greater output and a faster attack, without sacrificing clarity and definition.

Sound and character

Whereas earlier Slash models primarily delivered that classic, singing rock tone, the Slash 3.0 takes it a step further. You get tighter lows, more ‘bite’ in the highs and a more direct response to your playing. Ideal if your riffs and leads need to cut through the mix just that bit harder, for example in modern rock and hard rock settings or larger live rigs. Despite the extra punch, the sound remains precise and true to the original, with the familiar dynamics you’d expect from a good passive humbucker.

Assembly and build quality

This set is hand-built in Santa Barbara (USA) using traditional construction methods, including wooden spacers and vacuum wax potting. Thanks to the long-leg mounting tabs, it is designed for an authentic fit in vintage-style guitars, such as Les Paul® and SG® models. The single-core braided shield cable keeps things classic and tidy during installation. Please note: for pickups, returns are generally not accepted if the cable has been cut to length or soldered, and replacement pickups may vary slightly in shape or size.
