This is the Seymour Duncan Liberator 500k Solderless Potentiometer Standard Shaft (supplied individually). This is a solderless 500K Ohm potentiometer, intended for electric guitars with passive humbucker elements. With this Liberator instead of a regular volume potentiometer, replacing and/or swapping your guitar element becomes a lot faster, easier and you don't have to take a soldering iron in hand at all. As a bonus, the connection is also a lot more reliable than a less well-executed solder joint. You simply insert the bare end of the element's wire into 1 of the connection stations and tighten the screw thoroughly. This raises a mechanism and firmly clamps the guitar element wire. This immediately ensures a stable and secure connection.
