General

The potentiometers from CTS USA are high quality. They have been used for more than five decades on American models, which should be all you need to know. The CTS500-A61 has a resistance of 500 kOhms and is therefore suitable for pickups with a high output. The logarithmic taper is gradual, which makes this potentiometer ideal as a volume control. The split shaft ensures that knobs (without screws) can be attached easily. This short model is designed for guitars with a pickguard. If you want to get the best out of your instrument, then the CTS USA potentiometer is a great choice.

Tips or comments about this product

  • Please note: this potentiometer has an American (fine) shaft with 24 knurls, and is only suitable for the knobs of American guitars. Metric knobs such as those found on Asian guitars are unlikely to fit well
