Ideal for conference rooms, lecture theatres and public speeches, the Omnitronic MIC SHC-2 Gooseneck Microphone features a back-electret capsule that's been fine-tuned to capture speech with defined clarity, and has a cardioid polar pattern that supports focussed sound, ensuring that any ambient noise is effectively ignored. The microphone comes with a solid metal base and is simply mounted via the central 3-pin XLR port and, once plugged in, the microphone is powered via the 48V phantom power provided by a mixer or a 9V block battery. The flexible gooseneck mount ensures accurate positioning and the power is toggled on and off via a switch fitted on the base. When active, a colour-ring at the base of the microphone itself lights up to indicate that the sound is live.
