Owners of Arturia's V Collection, rejoice, the new version is here with an attractively-priced upgrade for existing owners. Arturia's V Collection 5 includes previous gems such as the CS80, the Jupiter 8, the Prophet and the ARP2600. On top of that, this 5th edition now adds five new modules.
New in Arturia V Collection 5
One of the highlights in Arturia's V Collection 5 has to be the Synclavier. This technological monster from the '80s did things that were virtually impossible back then. This revolutionary functionality made them extremely pricey and essentially put them beyond the reach of all but the richest people. Now however, this legendary synth can be yours!
Other new titles
As well as the virtual Synclavier, there are virtual Hammond B3 and Fender Rhodes Stage 73 modules, as well as a virtual Farfisa organ and a Piano module with physical modelling. Existing owners don't need to be told that the quality is nothing less than sublime or that the software is extremely practical to use in your music productions. Making your own sounds is even more fun, challenging and rewarding thanks to the comprehensive graphical interface that is packed full of controls. A number of sounds are built-in too, of course, so that you can get started right away. All in all, the V Collection 5 is an extremely usable, top-quality collection of virtual synthesizers from the last few decades.
