Apple worked hard to bring out the successor to the iPad Air. The new iPad Air 2 had to live up to Apple's high standards for thin, fast, lightweight tablets, and you can bet your buttons that it most certainly does! The A8X processor is a full 40% faster than the old A7X, and the graphic processor has been improved to perform 2.5 times faster. Screen, wireless internet, Touch ID
Reducing the number of layers in the display didn't only make the iPad thinner, it also made the colours brighter and the contrast stronger. Speaking of imaging, the cameras have been improved with better sensors and new functions are available for the iSight camera, such as time-lapse, slow-motion and panorama. The back camera has also been improved to perform better in situations with less light. The Wi-Fi is twice as fast and the 4G has been made faster too, and the brand new Touch ID has been added to make your device as secure as possible.
New standard with iOS 8
The iPad Air 2 comes with the iOS 8 operating system. iOS 8 was designed to work seamlessly with the powerful AX8 processor, fast wireless technology, and the impressive Retina screen. There are a number of new functions such as Continuity, which makes it easy to continue with a project on another device. You can also save all kinds of documents online on the iCloud Drive as well as share films, books, music and apps with up to six other devices (Family Sharing). A number of new and improved apps also come with the device, from email and internet, to video chat and navigation, to an iBook reader and a calendar. Of course, there are also countless other free apps that you can download from the App Store.
