Whether used as a show instrument, writing tool or talking point, Korg have packed the RK100S2 out with an incredibly flexible sound engine to offer more than just a MIDI controller. 8-note polyphony and a straight-forward yet incredibly effective synthesizer offer more than enough expressive potential, and is fully capable of producing the kind of screaming leads worthy of classic prog-rock. Even more expression is added by manipulating the ribbon-controller fitted on the 'neck' with the left hand. Use the extensive arpeggiator to build melodic rhythms and then coat the result in the built-in effects. Among the included effects, a vocoder can even be found and then applied to a microphone connected via the fitted mini-jack line input. This undeniably high-end keytar comes complete with a soft case.
