Avantone Pro CV-28 tube microphone

Avantone have managed to create an affordable, great-sounding, small-diaphragm condenser microphone. The CV-28 is a proper tube microphone with 3 switchable pickup patterns. It was designed to achieving that famous sound from the '50s and '60s. The transformer-coupled tube circuit is responsible for this sound. You can use the microphone for overheads, vocals, piano, percussion and acoustic guitars. It is a true all-rounder!

Avantone CV-28: full of character

For a long time, tube circuits were the only way of achieving electronic amplification. Tubes have a pleasant timbre, especially when they are clipping slightly. The 3rd harmony is accentuated so that the sound gets a full and characteristic timbre. As current interfaces and recorders have a high, but clean quality, you might want to add a bit of character. With this Avantone CV-28 that's no problem! It also looks great!

Overview

All you need to use this microphone is included in this set. Firstly, there is the power adapter that leads from the socket plug into a 7-pole XLR connector, and in turn is connected to your preamp or interface with an ordinary XLR connector. A shock mount is also included, so that you needn't worry about the vibrations and handling noise. The entire set is delivered in a rugged aluminium case, and the microphone itself comes in a gorgeous wooden case with a soft lining.
