General

The Golden Age Audio GA-8000 is based on popular microphone that was all the rage in 1990s. This valve-based condenser microphone sounds much less woolly than its vintage German counterparts from the '50s and '60s. Instead, it has an exceptionally clear and airy sound — something that's already made many R&B artists and rappers fall in love with it. While valve microphone are infamous for their high noise floor, saturated and sometimes even distorted sound, the GA-8000 does away with all of that via a unique internal temperature regulation system that keeps the electronics inside at a constant operating temperature. The result is a low noise floor that meets today's standards and minimal harmonic distortion.
