General
Recording with the Revelation II is a real eye-opener. This second-generation valve condenser microphone from MXL features a continuously adjustable polar pattern and injects the subtle saturation of an EF86 pentode valve into the sound of your vocals or instrument. Meanwhile, the pickup pattern can be continuously adjusted from omnidirectional to cardioid or figure-of-8 and everything in between. Polished off with a -10dB PAD, this phenomenal microphone handles intimate vocals just as easily as it handles a drum kit and comes including a shock mount and case.
