General

This microphone is the black version of the TLM 102, a large-diaphragm studio microphone with a very compact housing. Its versatility makes it ideal for home recordings, studio applications and broadcasting.

Properties of the TLM 102

A newly developed large diaphragm has been installed into the microphone, allowing for an SPL of up to 144 dB without distortion - perfect for loud sound sources! Instruments that aren't loud also benefit form the very fast, noiseless response.

Furthermore, it can also be used for speech and vocal applications - a light boost above 6 kHz, ensures excellence vocal presence in the overall mix. Up to 6 kHz, the frequency response is highly linear, ensuring optimal colouring and a clearly defined bass range.

An elastic suspension suppresses handling noise, while an integrated pop shield attenuates popping and wind noises during vocal and speech recordings.
