The Fender Concert Tone FM63S is available in a beautiful vintage sunburst edition, conjuring memories of the heydays of concert tone instruments with its mother-of-pearl inlays. Furthermore, its 29-fret rosewood fretboard with a bone string nut, its body bindings and nickel-plated hardware round out this Fender Concert Tone mandolin's excellent design.

Concert Tone FM63S

For starters, Fender upgraded the entire FM series with an arched solid spruce top. Besides that, the asymmetrical tone bars have been redesigned, resulting in a more complex tone and enhanced projection. Other features that set this series apart are the solid maple back and sides, and a one-piece v-shaped maple neck with a Concert Tone headstock. The baroque-style body design further emphasises the vintage design.

Wrote the following about Fender Concert Tone FM63S mandolin

Goede mandoline, mooi in elkaar.
Wel wat slordig dat hij nog niet afgesteld is / de brug er nog niet opzat:
Voor mensen die er minder verstand heeft kan dat onhandig zijn. (is dat standaard zo?)

Verder was de afwerking niet perfect, maar dat puur qua uiterlijk. De sound is lekker.

Tip: als hij een bijgeluid heeft, kan het zijn dat de slagplaat tegen de body meeklinkt. Zorg dat die los van elkaar staan en je mandoline klinkt nog wat mooier/helderder.

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
