The Hohner company is of course known for its harmonicas, but also manufactures other wind instruments. The Hohner Airboard 32 is a distinctive one. This melodica runs on air and is blown by means of the included BlowFlow mouthpiece. You play it with 32 keys, two and a half octaves. The Airboard is an excellent mood creator at jam sessions, but multi-instrumentalists also have a charming addition to their sound spectrum with this Hohner melodica.
Airboard app
For iPhone and iPad owners, an AirBoard app is available, offering a virtual version of this instrument. In doing so, you can use your Apple's microphone to blow on the virtual Airboard. The touchscreen displays the keys. The AirBoard app makes it a breeze to connect iPad or iPhone to a mixer or PA, so you can record directly or play along amplified with the band.
