If your audio interface or mixer lacks the gain needed to pack out your sound with character, then the Triton Audio FetHead Transformer microphone booster can help out. Compatible with dynamic and ribbon microphones, this ultra-compact in-line preamp runs on phantom power, isn't much bigger than an XLR plug and gets you a fixed +28dB gain boost. It also doesn't pass on phantom power to your microphone which makes it a safe pick for sensitive ribbon mikes, and comes with a built-in transformer so it basically enriches your sound the same way as a mega-expensive Neve or API console would.
