General
The Track One distinguishes itself in two ways: it's remarkably easy to use and ensures superb audio quality, whether you're recording vocals or instruments on-stage or in the studio. Besides 48V phantom power and balanced XLR and jack inputs, this SPL channel strip features an extremely neutral-sounding instrument and microphone preamp and a compressor/limiter that can be switched on after the preamp for added compression. Bear in mind it's even possible to hook up a second Track One for stereo compression.
Time-Saving
Since the built-in de-esser of the Track One can help to curb more harsh sounding sibilants (e.g. s and z), it can save you a lot of time spent post-editing. Also, no channel strip is ever complete without an EQ, so SPL have a loaded in a 3-band equalizer and an S/PDIF port, accommodating seamless integration into any digital studio where the 24-bit/96kHz converted audio is the standard.
