Maybe you need to control a stack of hardware synths from a single MIDI keyboard. In theory, you could do it all via MIDI-Thru to build a long MIDI chain, but if you're honest with yourself, it can be a bit of a hassle to set up each synth to response to this track and not that one. While it might be considered a bit of a brute-force solution, you could just use a fat MIDI splitter like the Erica Synths Midi Thru Box. Simply feed it one MIDI cable to gain eight MIDI outputs, and on top of that, gain a tight setup that does it all with just 60 nanosecond latency - which in reality, is basically zero.

Order came fast, box does its job...
Only downside is that 2 days later there came the new erica dispatch box that does not need a power supply so i loose 1 synth in my 12 outlets strip to this thing.
