This iconic controller by Mackie is a controller combination that's often found in “in-the-box” studios. Its predecessor was the first proper DAW controller on the market, and in that respect, Mackie was a true pioneer who set a standard many brands tried to emulate. Mackie have since updated this controller to give you the feeling of a fully-fledged mixing console combined with the user-friendliness and versatility of a modern DAW. It consists of the Mackie Control Universal Pro and the Mackie Control Universal Extender Pro.

Mackie Control Universal Pro

This comprehensive controller is at the heart of your studio. It's equipped with nine Alps motorised faders, eight of which can be operated as channel strips and the last can function as a master or bus fader. The MCU Pro is chock-full of controls that correspond with various functions in your DAW. The transport section has a clear overview with a smooth jog wheel that is especially handy during post-production. On the channel strips, you'll find Solo, Mute, Select and Record buttons, each with a signal LED that shows if the signal on the corresponding channel is coming through or not. Each channel strip has a rotary knob with a LED ring around it for ultra-clear use. Mackie included a bright display above the channel strips that shows real-time information for each channel, volumes and parameter levels. In short, it doesn't get more comprehensive than this!

Mackie Control Universal Extender Pro

With the MCU Extender Pro, you can add another eight channels to your MCU Pro. This controller has the same channel functions as the MCU Pro and the two can easily be linked together. This expander gives you an even larger mixing surface, as once they are linked, the two controllers act as one. Using the flip function, you'll have 16 channels at your disposal instead of eight. For more channels, simply add more Extenders. You can add a maximum of three MCU Extenders for virtually unlimited possibilities!
