Chorus and Vibrato

The Good Vibes' chorus effect adds a singsong sound to your signal, allowing for melodious guitar parts. Chorus effects were immensely popular in the 1980s, and thanks to the EHX Good Vibes you can now follow in the footsteps of guitar legends like Johnny Marr and Steve Lukather. The pedal's vibrato effect makes the volume level of your guitar signal go up and down at a slow or more rapid pace, producing a real vintage sound. Don't worry, though - even though their sounds instantly takes you back to previous decades, both the chorus and the vibrato effect are still quite relevant in modern music.

Deze levert een werkelijk fantastische psychedelische 60's & 70's geluidservaring, met een sublieme "throb" en veel "woosh", dankzij het gebruikte fotocelcircuit. Zonder enige twijfel de beste Univibe die je voor deze prijs kunt kopen!
Houd twee dingen in gedachten: (1) je MOET hem gebruiken met zijn eigen 9,6V-adapter (meegeleverd) om op zijn best te klinken, en (2) hij is niet toonneutraal: de 'chorus'-instelling maakt je klank een beetje treblier. Geen probleem voor mij, want het voorkomt dat dingen muddy of onduidelijk worden.
Conclusie: vergeet de MXR Uni-Vibe (meer een phaser) of de TC Viscous Vibe (digitale simulatie). De EHX Good Vibes is degene die je wilt!!!

Op YouTube zag ik een kleine demo van de Good Vibe waardoor ik meteen wist dat dit soort geluiden nodig zijn voor mijn te spelen nummers. Uiteraard via Bax Shop besteld, snel (zoals verwacht) ontvangen en meteen uitgeprobeerd.
Weergaloos apparaat. Echt goede sounds uit de zestiger jaren. Voor mij een rijke aanvulling qua mogelijkheden.
Good Vibes van Electro Harmonix bevat een metalen behuizing, kan op een 9-volts power supply aangesloten worden of rechtstreeks via batterij of meegeleverde adapter van 9,6 Volt.
Veel mogelijkheden instelbaar. Eventueel kan met een expression pedaal de 'speed' of de 'intensity' traploos worden geactiveerd. Dit apparaat is aan te raden wanneer je het geluid van de zestiger jaren wil hebben, of als David Gilmour wil klinken. Qua prijs en kwaliteitverhouding staat de Good Vibe aan de top.
