Just as charming as the original, the mini edition of the Valeton Dapper still puts three essential bread-and-butter guitar effects at your feet - it just comes in a much smaller box. The price of this micro multi-effect is also pretty small, and what you get in return for your investment is an all-in-one unit that's built to take on live and recording work as well as rehearsals, study sessions and just general noodling. Over in the Drive section, you get a classic overdrive and distortion that can be accurately tweaked via the set of gain and tone pots. In the Chorus section, the modulation can be moulded to shape via the speed and depth pots and, over in the Delay section, you can not only control the echoes via the regeneration and time pots, but set the echo speed via a tap tempo.

The Valeton Dapper Mini + Cab Simulation

Once all three effects have been dialled in, they can be toggled on and off and combined by hitting the set of three solid footswitches lined up along the bottom of the control panel. A mini-jack headphone output has been included in the design and, when you plug in your headphones, the sound is supported by a cab simulation, so you can rehearse in silence supported by the big sound of a full stack. The same output can be used for quick and easy connection to an audio interface or even a PA system, while the 6.3mm big jack output bypasses the cab sim so it can be hooked up to your amplifier.
