General

With the HS-P82, TASCAM has developed a recorder that allows you to make recordings of the highest possible quality. The HS-P82 features eight tracks and a rugged design, making it ideal for use on location.

Thanks to its eight microphone inputs, the HS-P82 is particularly well suited to make audio recordings for large-scale television programmes and films. Each of the standard XLR microphone inputs is equipped with phantom power and analogue limiters. In addition to the eight individual tracks, a stereo mixdown can be recorded during the editing process.

Audio can be recorded in WAV format to two CompactFlash cards, at a quality of up to 192 kHz/24 bits. It is possible to record to both cards simultaneously, so you always have a backup.
