Behringer Launches Three New Synths!
When Behringer announced the DeepMind 12 last year, the news caused a huge sensation that demanded a follow-up. For that reason, Behringer wasted no time in developing three new synths, the DeepMind 12D, DeepMind 6 and the Model D.
DeepMind 12D: powerful desktop synthesizer
One of the most highly-anticipated releases has got to be the DeepMind 12 Desktop. This stylish unit offers the same functions as its slightly larger counterpart. Because it doesn't have a keyboard, you can mount it in your 19-inch rack. It also offers polychain functionality so you can link other synths and expand the polyphony. What's more, the 12D is fully compatible with the 12 so you can easily switch patches. Incidentally, the same thing goes for all synths in the current Behringer synth family.
DeepMind 6: Less is more
Behringer's big surprise is the DeepMind 6. This 6-voice synth is smaller than the DeepMind 12, but it houses the same FX engine. Despite its size, Behringer opted to not include WiFi functionality, but the smaller faders have made it possible to keep the interface the same for an intuitive user experience. The full-size keys with aftertouch also contribute to the DeepMind 6's playability. In short, this is a compact synth that's chock-full of options!
Model D: Seamless integration
Lastly, Behringer's Model D fully-analogue synth can be used as a standalone or as part of a Eurorack system. With 46 controls and switches at your fingertips, you can create an enormous range of authentic synth sounds. Under the bonnet, you'll find three VCOs with five waveforms and a pulse width variation. Of course, the low and high-pass filters, noise generator, and overdrive circuitry are present and accounted for as well!
