Yamaha EAD10 Drum Module For Acoustic Drums
Recording acoustic drums normally involves the use of many microphones and a mixer. With Yamaha's EAD10, however, that's all in the past. The EAD10 consists of an electronic acoustic drum module and a sensor that helps you practise, record and perform with your acoustic drums.
Easy to use
While the cutting-edge technology used for the processors, effects and samples may be complicated, the EAD10 itself is easy to use. Simply attach the sensor to your bass drum and it will convert the acoustic sound from your kit into a digital signal via the two built-in microphones and bass drum trigger. The signal can then be customised using the EAD10's on-board controls and sent to a set of headphones, an amplifier, a computer or similar equipment.
Studio-quality sound
With the EAD10 you can make studio-quality recordings and share them easily with the free Rec'N'Share iOS app. By connecting your device to the module you can record video and sound at the same time and the app also gives you the ability to play along with your favourite tracks. You can even choose to play along with an automatic click track and adjust the tempo of the song you're playing along to. This makes the EAD10 excellent for practice sessions too.
From acoustic to hybrid
The EAD10 already has a bass drum trigger but the module also has inputs for adding extra triggers or you could choose to add drum or cymbal pads to your existing setup. This means the EAD10 is an easy way to turn your acoustic kit into a hybrid one giving you many more possibilities.
