General

The Electro Voice TX 1181 is a passive subwoofer equipped with an 18-inch EVS-18S woofer. It's outstandingly well suited for improving the bass range when used with either the TX 1122 or the TX 1152 full range speaker. Because it has an extra low-pass filter on board, it can be connected parallel to a full-range, so an extra amplifier isn't necessary. Just like every speaker from the Tour-X series, the TX 1181 is incredibly robust and has been made to withstand the dangers of life on the road.

Construction

The cabinet of this TX 1181 is made of a combination of plywood and MDF, so it is strong yet light. It is finished with a unique scratch and water-resistant coating developed by EV, and the distinctive curved grille offers reliable protection for the woofer. Furthermore, the handles of the TX 1181 can be adjusted in a variety of ways, so the speaker can be easily picked up from any position. The connection panel for the SpeakOn cables is sunken and slanted to keep the connections discrete and out of the way, so the speaker can be positioned close to a wall or the like. Finally, the bottom of the TX 1181 is equipped with mounting points for an optional wheel set.

Super subwoofer voor je geld! Dit is echt een fantastische sub met super lage tonen die helemaal tot je doordringen. Het geluid is echt super helder en luid. De kast is erg stevig ontworpen en dankzij de gebogen grill breekt deze grill echt niet. Daarnaast is het ontwerp ook nog eens mooi, en zijn de handvatten aan de zijkant erg praktisch zodat je hem makkelijk kan verplaatsen! De sub is erg makkelijk instelbaar voor iedereen. Ook is de sub makkelijk te bevestigen. Al met al geef ik deze subwoofer vijf sterren, dit komt door de algehele kwaliteit van de sub!

Meest degelijke subwoofer die ik ken. Heb er wielen onder gemaakt om het transport te vergemakkelijken. Lekker dreunende bass op het sub en duidelijke bastonen op het laag. Zeer handige m20 statiefmount wat het kantelen van je topkast aanzienlijk verminderd. Ik gebruik ze icm TX 1152 en nog de Dap Palladium 2000 versterkers van mijn vorige set. Het geluid is kort gezegd geweldig, maar valt bij veel lage of harde bass nog te verbeteren naar mijn mening. Ik gebruik hem voornamelijk op feestjes en partijen, en ook wt men hier aan mij verteld klinkt positief. Qua prijs vind ik hem ook prima. Maar goedkoper mak altijd! ;-)

Na lang twijfelen ben ik toch voor deze iets duurdere sub-woofer gegaan. Dit heb ik mij zeker niet beklaagd! De speaker kost iets meer dan de gemiddelde sub-woofer in zijn range, maar de kracht dat deze speaker heeft is niet normaal. Twee van deze speakers met twee top speakers er bij en je kan elk feest aan. Je hoort de lage klanken niet alleen zeer goed. Je voelt de trillingen 50 meter verder nog. Nu 2 maand mee aan het draaien en iedereen tevreden over de lage klank. Mijn volgende set, zal van dezelfde genre zijn. Zeer tevreden over!
