Since the design is directly based on the legendary Neve 1073, the two-channel Heritage Audio HA73EQX2 Elite preamp/EQ packs the credentials needed to bathe your recordings in the definitively rich character of harmonic distortion, warming up all that digital hardness. The integrated three-band EQ meanwhile, actually shines with simplicity and is able to maintain pure musicality even after a considerable gain boost.

The Legacy of the 1073

In 1970, a Neve 1073 channel strip was used for the first time as part of the A88 mixing desk. Immediately, any recorded signal was flooded with fullness and natural harmonic complexity and as such, it wasn't long before the distinctness of the Neve 1073 was shaping the sound of every big hit.

With the HA73EQX2 Elite, Heritage Audio are essentially offering your studio a slice of music history. This standalone preamp/EQ has a neat 2U, 19" format, and around the back, separate line and microphone inputs are provided to make patch bay integration much simpler. At the front, a Hi-Z input is fitted so that electric guitars and basses can be hooked up directly.
