What do cultural centres, schools, pubs and restaurants have in common? They can all do with a bit of music from time to time, and the Alto Pro Trouper is just the tool to provide that. It's great for parties and celebrations too! The Trouper is an active PA speaker with a two-way 200W bi-amp system. Its sturdy yet compact cabinet houses three 6.5-inch woofers (130 W) and a 1-inch tweeter (70 W) that together deliver a pleasant frequency range of 65 Hz to 20 kHz.
Characteristics of the Alto Pro Trouper active PA speaker
This Alto Pro PA speaker is fool-proof, so you don't have to be a sound engineer to work with it. It has XLR, RCA, 6.3mm and 3.5mm jack connectors and also supports Bluetooth, so it's possible to wirelessly stream music from your phone, for instance. Thermal and dynamic overload protection are provided, which means your music sounds clear at all times, even if the sound levels are set inexpertly. As the trapezoidal cabinet reduces standing wave resonance, you won't suffer from unwanted bass frequencies.

Helaas blijkt de bluetoothvoorziening onbruikbaar. Zodra er een verbinding tot stand komt dan laat de speaker namelijk een zeurend zoemgeluid horen (voor de kenners: HF inslag). Dit is vrij prominent aanwezig en verandert niet in volume als je aan de knoppen draait. Bij een presentatie o.i.d. zal dit als storend worden ervaren.
Als dit probleem er niet was geweest, dan zou het handig zijn geweest als de bluetooth linkverbinding ook had gewerkt met een analoge verbinding. Dat is niet zo, dus je moet bij analoog gebruik een snoer naar beide speakers leggen.
Daarnaast is het een beetje onpraktisch dat bij het maken van een connectie en/of linkverbinding er vrij harde pinggeluiden uit de speakers komen en dat je die niet in volume kunt regelen. Je zult maar moeten opbouwen in een ruimte waar op dat moment nog andere activiteiten plaatsvinden ... Het indicatielampje was echt wal genoeg geweest.
Al met al heb je voor de prijs best een bruikbaar speakertje maar de bluetoothvoorziening hadden ze wat mij betreft weg kunnen laten want dat is nu alleen maar loos gewicht ...
