Yamaha's Exotic Wood bass guitar was an instant success when it was introduced in 2012. In 2013 this exclusive series was expanded with new instruments, including this Pacifica 012EW in the attractive Tobacco Brown Sunburst colour. (A natural version is also available.) The 012 series from Pacifica are no-nonsense electric guitars with solid build-quality, outstanding sound, and Yamaha's fantastic playability. What's more is that they are surprisingly affordable, making them ideal for beginners and advanced players on a budget. 

Yamaha Pacifica 012EW: superior wood types 

It may be attractively-priced, but the Pacifica 012EW certainly isn't lacking in wood quality. The body is made of solid alder wood for a full and bright sound with rich mids. This EW version is finished with a beautiful grained mango wood veneer on the body and the headstock. The Pacifica 012EW has a screwed maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fretboard with a comfortable profile, making it easy to play with any hand-size. 

Multifaceted electronics 

The electronics on Yamaha Pacifica 012EW are comprised of a humbucker pickup in the bridge position and two single coils in the middle and next to the neck. The humbucker is most suitable for rawer guitar work, while the single-coil pickups are ideal for, among other things, bright and sparkling cleans. Additionally you'll find a volume knob and a tone knob for filtering the highest frequencies.
