With each model housed inside a surprisingly portable casing, the Boss 200 Series pedals open up a world of tonal possibilities. For those in love with digital delay, here's the DD-200, packed with twelve different delay effects that can be tweaked to taste using the six fitted knobs. Next to the usual suspects like feedback, level and time, you're getting hands-on control over the modulation depth, tone and an extra assignable parameter, while the complex rhythmic delays can be created by selecting of the four tap divisions: semi-note, quarter-note, dotted eighth note or the triplet.

The DD-200 Digital Delay: Numerous Classic and Modern Effect Pedal Sounds

The intuitive lay-out of the DD-200 lets you quickly summon classics like the Echorec and Space Echo, as well as more modern variations like the Boss Tera Echo or the popular Shimmer effect. Once you've found your new favourite sound, you have four preset slots to save it to and recall at will. What's more, the footswitch actually has a secondary function and can be configured as a tap tempo switch to match the speed of the delay with the beat of your drummer.

Ik gebruik de DD-200 in mijn dj-set, via de send and return van mijn mixer. Hij is bedoeld als voetpedaal, maar bij mij ligt hij op de booth. Voor gitaristen zal het misschien geen verrassing zijn, maar voor mij was het wel even schrikken dat hij in eerste instantie niet leek te werken. Het aansluiten van een plug op de mono-ingang blijkt als de aan/uit-schakelaar te werken, maar dan moet je er ook nog achter zien te komen dat dit alleen werkt met een mono jack-plug. Deze valse start duurde echt wel eventjes, maar daarna was het genieten geblazen. De effecten gaan van subtiel naar extreem en voegen echt iets te doen. Het pedaal lijkt aan de totale geluidskwaliteit ook niets af te doen. De tempo’s zijn snel ingesteld en het is een mooi avontuur om met de feedback en de parameters te spelen. Je kunt er ook mee loopen, maar dat vind ik nog wat minder intuïtief gaan. Daarvoor gebruik ik dan liever mijn Boss RC-202. Afijn, ik ben er blij mee!

Bevalt goed. Niet te moeilijk om te bedienen, ( vooral het vast zetten (opslaan van geluiden ) wat voor mij belangrijk was. Super geluid uit te halen.

echt een aanrader voor toetsenist en gitarist!
