With the VR1 Voodoo Ribbon, sE Electronics are ushering in a new age! Until now, the only ribbon mic with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz was the expensive Rupert Neve. sE have now also succeeded in manufacturing this frequency range.
This makes this microphone fit for recording piano, guitar, bass guitar and vocals. You will enjoy a beautiful, warm, vintage sound. Especially with acoustic instruments. This vintage sound is partly made possible by a frequency boost in the low frequencies and from 2,000 Hz, with a dip around 10,000 Hz. The microphone can be used in studios and on stage.
The Project Studio RF uses the same simple design as the Pro version. Its metal frame is aligned with the same patented polyester hardboard. The material has exceptional acoustic dampening properties, which are greatly superior to simpler foam layers. This is further aligned with a highly dense crystal foam with bent waves, which is very effective.
All this effort results in a good-looking product that looks and sounds even better when you are recording vocals and acoustic guitars.
