This mic's figure eight pickup pattern provides side attenuation that facilitates the warm, ambient sound it's known for. The M 130 is particularly suitable for use as an overhead for wind and string instruments, piano and guitar in combination with the M 160 to capture an authentic stereo image using Mid Side technology. The mic offers a broad frequency response that ranges from 40 to 18,000 Hz, and an attenuation of 25dB at 110 degrees.
