General
The Pinnacle Microphones Fat Top II is a short, passive ribbon microphone renowned for its full, warm and rounded sound. Thanks to its figure-8 polar pattern, it picks up sound from both the front and the rear, with a distinct null for extra isolation. The Lundahl LL2913 transformer provides greater definition and a wider dynamic range, making it ideal for guitar cabinets, piano, wind instruments and percussion. Note: this set contains two microphones plus a Blumlein bar for stereo applications (consecutive serial numbers do not automatically mean a matched pair).
