Unlike a condenser microphone, a ribbon microphone like the Sontronics Sigma 2 doesn't add any colour, leaving you with fully natural, fully detailed sound. This second-gen model can handle high sound pressure levels and is an excellent option when it comes to recording vocals, guitars, violins, flutes and many other instruments. The Sigma 2 even comes complete with a shock mount and a case.
