General

This cymbal was developed in collaboration with legendary drummer Dave Weckl. Sabian reportedly had a hard time satisfying the demanding Weckl, but by following his advice, they finally succeeded. The result: a 22-inch medium-thin ride with a dark character and a sparkling bell. According to Sabian, the ride feels 'buttery smooth' while playing, and the drumstick springs back in a fine way. The long sustain of this ride provides a balance of bright and warm in the mix of many different styles of music. Indeed, the Sabian HHX Evolution 22-inch ride is all-round usable. Thanks to the fact that this is a medium-thin cymbal, combined with its dark character, you can also use The HHX Evolution 22-inch ride as a powerful crash. This ride is made of a B20 bronze alloy.
